The Gujarati Seva Samaj Educational Trust was formed in the year 1979 by Gujarati Seva Samaj, Madurai with the noble aim of serving the cause of education for all sections of the society in this ‘Temple City’. The trust started Jain Vidyalaya in 2015, their second venture, to cater to the needs of the children of Madurai, irrespective of Religion, Caste or Creed.

In line with the global vision of the Trust, Jain Vidyalaya is in the process of affiliating with the International Baccalaureate to offer their Careers Program – IBCP. (Equivalent to Grade 11 & 12).

The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

IB programmes aim to provide an education that enables students to make sense of the complexities of the world around them, as well as equipping them with the skills and dispositions needed for taking responsible action for the future. They provide an education that crosses disciplinary, cultural, national and geographical boundaries, and that champions critical engagement, stimulating ideas and meaningful relationships.

Jain Vidyalaya wishes to offer this globally recognized programme to the aspiring students of this city.
